Founded in 1979 and based in Eugene, Oregon, Inovec spent nearly 30 years focused on hardwood sawmill optimization. It became well known and trusted for designing systems specifically for the needs of sawmills cutting appearance grade lumber.

In 2006 when USNR acquired the Inovec product line, its own optimization products primarily targeted the softwood lumber sector. Over the ensuing years, Inovec’s sophisticated optimization technology has merged with USNR’s own optimization platform, creating the most advanced optimization solution in the industry.

Today USNR’s Eugene, OR facility is home to a thriving team that continues to support and advance optimization for the hardwood lumber sector, enhancing profitability from the headrig to the trimmer. This team also leads the company’s Shop, Molding and green lumber grade scanning technology.
